Our services at a glance

Preventive medical check-ups for children and adolescents

Regular check-ups (U1-U9) help to monitor your child’s physical, mental and social development at an early stage. They serve to detect and prevent illnesses or developmental abnormalities.

The J1 adolescent check-up (between the ages of 12 and 14) is also part of preventive care. It provides an opportunity to discuss physical changes, mental health and possible risks during puberty.

(Additional examinations such as U10 and U11 can be carried out on request – these may be classified as individual health services (IGeL), as they are not covered by all health insurance companies.

Hearing tests (e.g. „pilot“ hearing test)

Good hearing is crucial for language development. We use age-appropriate methods to reliably test your child’s hearing – for example, in cases of speech delays, susceptibility to infections or for general preventive care.

Allergy diagnostics

We use modern allergy diagnostic methods to identify the cause of allergies. We test which substances – known as allergens – are responsible for the symptoms. The examination can be carried out directly on the skin or via a blood sample. We then provide you with detailed advice on possible treatment options.

Hyposensitisation

In cases of proven allergies and severe suffering, specific immunotherapy (hyposensitisation) may be advisable.
You can find out more about the treatment options in a personal consultation.

Neurodermatitis & other skin diseases

We treat common childhood skin conditions with individually tailored, child-friendly treatment plans.
If further dermatological examination is necessary, we will refer you to specialist doctors.
We would be happy to advise you in detail during a personal consultation.

Vaccinations (incl. travel vaccinations)

Vaccinations reliably protect children against many infectious diseases. We vaccinate according to the current recommendations of the STIKO (Ständige Impfkommission).
We provide individual advice – including on additional vaccinations, for example for travel or special risks.
We are happy to carry out all necessary and desired vaccinations directly in our practice.

Ultrasound examinations

Our practice offers the following services, among others:

  • Hip ultrasound (usually at U3 or if there is a positive family history)
  • Abdominal ultrasound with renal sonography
  • Head ultrasound for infants

Eye tests incl. amblyopia screening

Many children do not notice vision problems themselves. With our amblyopia screening, we can detect disorders in vision development at an early stage – painlessly and without medication. The examination is recommended from the age of 6 months.
If any abnormalities are found, the child will be referred to an ophthalmologist.

Costs (IGeL service):

Amblyopia screening (code: A1259): from 25,00 €

Short certificate (code: 70): from 5,36 €

Tip:

Some health insurance companies reimburse this service in part or even in full. Ask your health insurance company for details.

Lung function & bronchial asthma

If respiratory diseases are suspected, we perform lung function tests that are suitable for children. This allows us to measure lung performance and identify any possible limitations at an early stage.

At our practice, we work closely with paediatric and adolescent pulmonologists and support you and your child during diagnosis and treatment with our expertise and experience.

Additional services include:

  • Pulse oximetry (POM)
Measurement of oxygen saturation in the blood
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Recording of heart activity to diagnose cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiological issues.
  • Follow-up care for premature babies:
As an experienced neonatologist, I monitor premature babies after their discharge from the clinic, paying particular attention to their development and health.
  • Detailed developmental diagnostics:
Examination and monitoring of children with developmental abnormalities in collaboration with specialised centres.
    Including:
    – Speech development diagnostics
    – Care for attention disorders (e.g. AD(H)D)
  • Counselling and care for paediatric urological conditions
  • Detailed laboratory tests
  • Individual health services (IGeL)
  • Further examinations and counselling as required – please feel free to contact us!
